Pavlos Stellakis
Chairman & CEO, Pavlos has broad corporate experience in both the UK and Continental Europe, with over twenty five years involvement in Investment Banking, Private Equity and Consultancy and having been on the Boards of several private and public companies, including main Board positions at NBG and Hill Samuel Bank where he was Head of European Investment Banking. Pavlos is the Founder of NBGI, a London and New York based investment banking goup where he is President & CEO.
Pavlos is an Economics graduate and holds a masters degree in Applied Economics from Oxford University.
Mark Owen
Mark has considerable experience in both private equity and industry. He was a founder director of NBGI Private Equity in 2000 following six years with Granville Private Equity Managers. Prior to that he worked for five years with Schroders Corporate Finance running their private transactions team. He has also spent ten years in industry, in the US with Combustion Engineering, a diversified engineering and services group, and Champion International, a paper and building products manufacturer.
Mark graduated from Selwyn College, Cambridge and has an MBA from Wharton.
Laurent Allégot
Laurent has over 18 years experience in private equity and an established track record of investing in the small to mid-sized buy-out market, achieving consistent returns. He has led numerous investments in a broad range of sectors and economic cycles.
Before joining NBGI Private Equity, Laurent was a Managing Director with SPEF LBO, a Natixis Private Equity affiliate specialised in small to mid-sized buy-outs. Previously, Laurent worked for 15 years with REL, a pioneer among LBO firms.
Laurent holds a graduate business degree from Institut Supérieur de Commerce de Paris.
Richard Babington
Richard is an Investment Director at NBGI Private Equity. He joined having previously held internal corporate finance positions at Elementis plc and Ascot plc, two UK-listed companies operating in the pharmaceutical, chemical and engineering sectors.
Richard has a particular interest in the Food, Manufacturing and Industrial sectors and is a Board Director of investee companies Pasta King, Peter's Food Service and the recently acquired cake division of McCambridge Group.
Richard is a graduate of Brasenose College, Oxford where he read Mathematics.
Stratos Chatzigiannis
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG and is a graduate from the London School of Economics.
Aris Constantinides
Aris is the founder and Investment Director of NBGI Ventures, responsible for its overall strategy and management, and leads its presence in the medical technology sector. Aris established NBGI Ventures in 2001, following five years in venture capital with Deutsche Bank’s venture capital team and CSFB’s Cabot Square Capital fund. He started his career at Bankers Trust as a derivatives specialist.
Aris holds a B.Eng from Imperial College and a SM from MIT in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from INSEAD.
Lawrence Dean
Lawrence is an Investment Director at NBGI Private Equity. He started his career in corporate finance at SBC Warburg (now UBS), where he advised on a number of high profile deals in the industrial and support services sectors. Lawrence covers these sectors at NBGI and sits on the boards of ATR Group, Cosalt Offshore and Change.
Prior to NBGI, he worked at Travelselect, a VC-backed online travel company that was successfully sold to Lastminute.com. This has led to a longstanding interest in consumer, online businesses and related growth TMT opportunities.
Lawrence graduated in Economics from Durham University.

James Huckle
James is an Investment Director at NBGI Private Equity. He joined NBGI in April 2007. James has 10 years experience in financial services and fund management, of which he spent six years in private equity and real estate in Eastern Europe, with Invesco and Laxey Partners. He holds an MA in Geography from the University of Oxford.
James is also a qualified chartered accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
Mete Ikiz
Mete is an Investment Director of NBGI PE’s Turkey Fund. Prior to NBGI PE, Mete worked in investment banking for 13 years leading many primary and secondary public offerings and M&A transactions. Before joining NBGI PE, Mete worked for a year as the Assistant General Manager responsible for Corporate Finance of Unicorn Capital, owned by Unicorn Investment Bank which has operations in Turkey and the MENA Region. From 1997-2007, Mete was the Head of Corporate Finance at Yapi Kredi Invest, where his main business responsibilities included originating, structuring and executing investment banking transactions.
Mete holds an MBA from Bentley College in Boston and a BA degree from Bogazici University in Istanbul.
John Milad
John has nearly 20 years’ experience in private equity, venture start-ups, corporate finance and the healthcare industry. He is an Investment Director of NBGI Ventures and serves on several portfolio company boards. He is also a member of the i4i selection panel of the NHS National Institute for Health Research and is an advisory board member of Connect Digital Health.
His previous roles include founding the advisory boutique Insight Capital, serving as CFO at Nitec Pharma, being a Special Advisor to Atlas Venture and leading healthcare corporate finance transactions at Nomura International in London. He started his career as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers in New York, followed by private equity investment experience at Kirkland Investors. John is a graduate of the University of Chicago.
Omiros Millas
Omiros is an Investment Director in the SEE fund. He is also leading NBGI's proprietary deal flow origination effort across its buy-out funds and is responsible for co-investments and other business development activities.
Omiros joined NBGI's investment banking arm in 1998 and has been Head of Corporate Finance until 2009 when he assumed his current role in NBGI PE.
Omiros is a graduate of Economics and Social Policy from Royal Holloway, University of London.
Orestis Millas
Orestis is an Investment Director at NBGI Private Equity. He joined in July 2008. Prior to joining NBGI Private Equity, Orestis was with Citigroup for two years where he was a Director in Structured Credit responsible for originating, structuring and executing structured transactions. Prior to joining Citigroup, Orestis was with BNP Paribas' Securitisation team for six years where he worked on a variety of transactions and asset classes.
Orestis is an Economics graduate with an MSc from the London School of Economics.
Theodoros Malfas
Theodoros joined NBGI Private Equity Limited in 2001. Prior to that he worked for Laiki Bank Group in Greece, UK and Cyprus for 7 years, having held account manager and senior equity analyst positions with the credit and investment banking divisions respectively. Previously, he worked as a private equity analyst with SFS.
Theodoros graduated from University of Athens (LL.B, corporate & commercial law concentration) and attended the Corporate Finance Executive Programme at London Business School.
Yannis Voyatzis
Prior to joining NBGI Private Equity in December 2006, Yannis was a Vice President at Citigroup Venture Capital International in London, where he was responsible for originating, structuring and executing private equity transactions in Central Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. Before joining Citigroup in April 2000, Yannis worked as a Senior Consultant at Chemintel, a London based consulting firm specializing in the petrochemicals industry.
Yannis holds an MBA from École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, France, and an MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, UK.
